Help Lakleland meet our state mandated goal of 25% recycling!
Starting immediately, All Star Waste Services will pick up leaves and grass for recycling on a trial basis. To be recycled, leaves and grass MUST be in clear plastic bags and only leaves or grass can be in the bags!
Leaves should be left in clear plastic bags on the regular recycle pickup day. Leaves in clear plastic bags will be picked up by Friday of the same week and recycled. Normally leaves and grass in clear plastic bags put out on Monday and Tuesday will be picked up Thursday and leaves and grass in clear plastic bags put out on Wednesday will be picked up Friday.
This will be a trial program, we will appreciate your comments and suggestions! We appreciate All Star Waste Services offering this service for Lakeland.

Why would residents want to leave these bag sitting on the curb for 3-4 days? This will make the neighboods look trashy. We can not put them on the street side of the curb and during the hot summer, it will kill the grass underneath the bag. I think it is great that we can recycle these items although there needs to be a set day for pick-up; not if it is there, we will come back later in the week.
