Lakeland School Board filing now open

Lakeland residents may pick up petitions NOW for the Lakeland Municipal School Board!  If approved by voters, petitions are due into the Shelby County Election Commission by noon on August 16.  The Election for the Lakeland Municipal School Board is at the November election.  Petitions and other information are at the Shelby County Election Commission.

The new Lakeland Municipal School Board hires the Superintendent and makes other significant decisions on the Lakeland Municipal School System, if approved by voters.

The Lakeland Municipal Board will be composed of five members, elected at large,  who will elect a Chair.  Members are paid $200 per month.
