Community Emergency Response Training (CERT) Classes for Adults 55+
Wednesdays, August 7th - August 28th from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
IH Clubhouse, 4523 Canada Road
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact the City and trains them in basic disaster response skills so that they can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help.
Topics included in these courses are Intro to Disaster Preparation, Fire Suppression, Disaster Medical, and Search and Rescue. The City appreciates those who completed this training opportunity and are more prepared to assist other Lakeland residents in the event of a disaster.
For more information about the CERT program, contact Claude Talford, Director of Emergency Management for Lakeland at 867-5407 or ctalford@lakelandtn.org.
