County Commission Appointment-Action needed!

The appointment of an interim County Commissioner to replace Commissioner David Lillard is on the Shelby County Commission agenda at 1:30 p.m., Monday, February 23.

Some indications are that the Shelby County Commission intends to ignore the wishes of Shelby County District 4 and vote someone in who with dramatically different political beliefs and someone who won't really care or represent District 4. Commissioner Lillard represented District 4, was very responsive to the residents and it is a loss to Shelby County and a gain for the State of Tennessee.

District 4 residents deserve a County Commission representative who will be responsive to residents of District, not someone whose primarily interests is drastically opposed to the beliefs and wishes of District 4 residents.

Call 545-4301, e-mail the County Commissioners (ShelbyCountytn.gov) and attend the Shelby County Commission meeting Monday at 1:30 p.m. to demand that District 4 be represented by an appointee who has political beliefs similar to Commissioner Lillard and is responsive to District 4. We deserve it!
